Photographing Buildings no.2 is a collection of photographs made from 16mm film stills. Taken out of their context as stills in a film, they exist through another state of mind in taking photographs. Some of these images were a part of the film - "What I Saw on the Periphery", and others were gathered as recordings of place.A collection of 10 color C Prints made from 16mm film negatives, laid into letterpress printed wrappers.

Printed materials, collage, and color photography. Published in an edition of 10, with all issues unique in their specific content. "Photographing Buildings" takes off from "Process", with the addition of hand printed color photographs. The coming together of collage, printing, and photography in these works are more focused on location and place. There is a definite relationship between images appropriated, and images taken with a camera. These works move into new territory, and will be explored in further issues. All works by Jon Beacham. Process Number One, Two and Three were created in editions varying from 8 to 20 copies. The contents consisted of printed materials and collage, with all issues unique in their specific contents. Although the work is presented under the idea of a publication, these groupings of work operate on their own as small individual bodies of work. The viewing of an issue of Process is directed towards an individual viewer and the work. All works by Jon Beacham. Out of Print.
